Welcome to the Writers Without Walls Referral Program (the "Program"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the Program. By participating, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

• Referrers: To be eligible to refer others and earn rewards ("Referrer"), you must be an active member (Free or Paid Tier) of the Writers WithoutWalls Patreon campaign ("Our Campaign") and have an active account within our referral system (referrals.writerswithoutwalls.com).
• Referred Friends: To be eligible to be referred ("Referred Friend"), an individual must **not** be a current or former member/patron of Our Campaign at the time the referral link is used. They must sign up for Patreon (if not already a member) and become an active, paying patron of Our Campaign's designated paid tier ("Beyond the Wall" tier) using the unique referral link provided by the Referrer.
• Referrers cannot refer themselves.

2. How Referrals Work

• Referrers will be provided with a unique referral link via their dashboard on referrals.writerswithoutwalls.com.
• Referrers can share this link with potential Referred Friends.
• A referral is tracked when a Referred Friend clicks the unique link, signs up/logs in via the Patreon button on our landing page, successfully authenticates, and is recorded in our system as linked to the Referrer.

3. Earning Rewards

• A reward credit is earned by the Referrer **only after** the Referred Friend meets the following conditions:
  1. Successfully joins the "Beyond the Wall" paid tier on Our Campaign.
  2. Maintains an active, paid status on that tier for a minimum of thirty (30) consecutive days following their initial payment.
  3. Payments must be successfully processed by Patreon. Declined or refunded payments do not qualify.
• The amount of the reward credit depends on the Referrer's own Patreon membership status *at the time the reward becomes due* (i.e., after the Referred Friend completes 30 days paid):
  • Referrers who are **Paid Members** ("Beyond the Wall" tier) will receive a **$5.00 credit**.
  • Referrers who are **Free Members** (active patrons with $0 pledge amount and not entitled to a paid tier) will receive a **$2.50 credit**.
• Reward eligibility and amounts are determined solely by Writers Without Walls based on data from Patreon and our system records. Status checks are performed periodically, and there may be delays in reflecting status changes or applying rewards.

4. Reward Redemption

• Earned reward credits will be reflected in the Referrer's "Reward Balance" on their dashboard.
• Credits can be redeemed by visiting the 'Redeem Rewards' page accessible from your dashboard.
• Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
• Credits expire 12 months after being earned if not redeemed.

5. Sharing Referral Links

• Referrers may share their link via email, social media, personal blogs, etc., provided it complies with these Terms and the terms of the platform used.
• Referrers must not engage in spamming or sending unsolicited communications.
• Referrers must not misrepresent Writers Without Walls, our Patreon campaign, or the Referral Program.
• Using paid advertising (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads) to promote referral links is generally prohibited unless explicitly permitted by Writers Without Walls.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Creating fake accounts, self-referrals, attempting to defraud the system, or any activity deemed manipulative or unfair by Writers Without Walls is strictly prohibited.
• Violation of these terms may result in disqualification from the Program, forfeiture of rewards, and termination of your account.

7. Program Changes & Termination

• Writers Without Walls reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program, or these Terms, at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.
• Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms on our website. Your continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Disclaimers

• Writers Without Walls makes no guarantees regarding the success of the Program or the rewards that may be earned.
• The Program is offered "as is". We are not responsible for errors in tracking, API issues with Patreon, or other technical problems.
• This Program is operated by Writers Without Walls independently of Patreon. Patreon does not sponsor or endorse this Program and is not responsible for its operation or rewards.
• These Terms do not constitute legal or financial advice.
